Workshops & Training

Community Workshops

These are group based creativity sessions that anyone can book to join on. Sometimes these are one-off sessions, and other times they might be in a series.

Here are some of the benefits of joining a workshop :

  • You can learn new skills and this can boost your self esteem.
  • You can develop tools that can be used for your own self expression.
  • A chance to socialise, and you may be able to build relationships with others in the workshop.
  • Taking a workshop allows you to step outside of your comfort zone. As a result, you will learn what it feels like to try something new and to experiment with challenges.
  • The results can go on past the session and can be life changing!

Some of the sessions I run are:

  • Art Journalling
  • Unleashing Your Creativity
  • Getting Unstuck
  • Self Care through Creativity
  • Exploring Your Inner Child

Please contact me for more details on these workshops.

Training & Workshops for Professionals

I have 15+ years of training experience and I really enjoy working with others in the caring professions. I have delivered sessions on behalf of several organisations including Cranstoun, NSPCC, Change Grow Live, Thames Valley Police and Reading Borough Council.

My unique approach to training is combining more traditional learning experiences with artistic expression to create an unforgettable experience.

Research shows that adding creativity to training sessions allows people to enhance and better retain their learning. In addition, it’s great for encouraging participation, relationship forming, and opening up conversations in teams.

Examples of training session titles and themes (these are by no means an exhaustive or prescriptive list):

  • Drug & Alcohol Awareness
  • Models of Addiction
  • Working with Trauma
  • Professional Boundaries
  • Managing Stress in the Workplace
  • Self Care for Helping Professions
  • Vicarious Trauma & Building Resilience for Staff & Volunteers
  • Team Development Workshops

Please contact me if you are interested in any of these sessions, or would like to discuss how they could be tailored to the precise needs of your organisation.
